Our client is looking to recruit an Artwork Team Leader with solid experience in packaging artwork and print techniques. Extensive FMCG packaging experience is essential. You will manage and lead an artwork team; guiding and mentoring artworkers to ensure that tasks are completed within budget and deadlines. You’ll need hands-on artworking skills as you’ll be required to hit deadlines within an extremely fast paced studio; producing international packaging artwork to a very high standard. Your role will involve creating and adapting packaging artwork including labels, boxes, sleeves, foils, tubes, lids and outer cases for various different print processes. You’ll assist in recruiting new team members and be responsible for onboarding, training and development. You will continuously assess internal artwork procedures within your team and make recommendations for improved structure, efficiency, performance and output. This role would suit an experienced Senior Packaging Artworker with proven artwork management experience. Ideally your background experience will have been gained as a packaging/technical artworker and/or you’ll have print reproduction experience. You’ll need to demonstrate an understanding of internal artwork procedures and standards, client artwork expectations and the demands for executing a high turnover of artworks for a major retailer (i.e. thousands of SKU’s per year). Ess skills: IT savvy with experience in Mac OS, Adobe, Esko, GMG proofing and a fast learner of IT systems and processes. Knowledge of colour separation, file set-up and supply using spot colour channels. You should be highly organised and results driven with excellent attention to detail from photography, typography and file set up to following the client’s guidelines and requirements.
