We’re looking to recruit a talented Packaging Designer to join an award winning contemporary retail brand. Working within their NPD team, you will create industry-leading packaging design that raises the brand profile, engages with consumers and clearly communicates the product USP. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated, hands-on creative with the ability to see a brief from initial concept to final print-ready artwork. You should have proven experience designing structural packaging for consumer products and should be confident working out effective cutter guides for cardboard packaging. Exceptional conceptual and executional abilities are required. Your portfolio should demonstrate a great eye for layout and typography. Your role will also involve the art direction of photoshoots for packaging imagery and high quality retouching of images as required. In addition you’ll support the team in the design and artwork of sales presenters, seasonal product catalogues, exhibition graphics, in-store merchandisers and promotional materials. This role would suit a highly organised person who works well under pressure, managing multiple projects at once to deliver outstanding results, on budget and within deadlines. We’re looking for candidates who enjoy staying on top of the latest innovations and proposing new ideas, materials and techniques in print and packaging design. Ess skills: Adobe CS (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign). Experience in 3D drawing/rendering software such as KeyShot/SolidWorks is advantageous.
